The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitesse-c40905 Arnhem left-back’s agent Aleksander Bursac admits that his client’s move to the newly promoted English Premier League side would be materialised.
Alexander Buttner’s agent, Aleksandar Bursac, has revealed that he feels his client’s impending move to the newly promoted English Premier League outfit, Southampton, would be finalised in the coming days.
The two sides agreed terms over the transfer of the Dutch stopper, but the potential deal was threatened after another club expressed interest in signing the 23-year-old.
However, the talented full-back’s agent has now revealed that he expects the deal to be completed in the upcoming days, with St. Mary’s Park to be his client’s destination.
“My gut feeling is he is still going to move to Southampton. Based on what has happened on Sunday and Monday there is now no longer an issue”, Bursac was quoted as saying to the English media.
The club’s technical director, Ted van Loowen, has asserted that the Dutchman’s move depends upon the Saints whether they want to proceed or withdraw.
“It's up to Southampton and the player. We've agreed a deal with them, we have no reason to be involved any longer”, Van Loowen said while talking to the Dutch media.
Southampton reportedly agreed terms with the Arnhem outfit on a deal believed to be in the region of eight million Euros.
Buttner has been plying his trade at GelreDome Stadion since making his debut in the 2008/09 season. The promising left-back has thus far donned the jersey of Vitesse in 107 Eredivisie games, netting 10 goals while providing some
valuable assists along the way.
The Dutch stopper, who was included in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 preliminary squad of 36 players for Euro 2012, has a contract that will keep him at GelreDome Stadion until the summer of 2013.
Vitesse have reportedly started to look for possible replacements for the young defender, and have tracked SBV Excelsior’s Samuel Scheimann, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261
Zullo as the possible replacements.
However, only time will tell the tale whether any of these would be plying their trade at GelreDome Stadion next term or not.
