Alexander Gustafsson: I am feeling good about fighting Silva – UFC News
Alexander Gustafsson will take on Thiago Silva in a light heavyweight match at UFC on Fuel TV 2 on Saturday, April 14, 2012. The fight will be headlining the event, which will be held at the Ericson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
Thiago Silva is considerably among the best when it comes to UFC fighters, whereas Alexander is still on his way to success. For the fight, Alexander is being considered the underdog, however he is not even a bit afraid of fighting Silva. Instead, Alexander
feels confident that he can beat Silva pretty easily.
His recent statement read, "You know, I'm feeling good. I'm just doing something I love to do, so I don't feel any pressure at all. I'm just going to go in there and have fun. I have confidence and I know I've been through h**l to be here today so I'm just
enjoying it every time. ... I think the (light heavyweight) division is one of the toughest in the sport right now. For me, I'm just taking it one fight at a time. I want to win my fight and one day have a title shot. When that day comes, I'll be ready."
According to Alexander, UFC is his first love and he has never felt pressurised fighting others. He added that he is confident enough to face probably anyone out there. Since he is fighting at lightweight, he describes it as the most difficult stage of all.
Unlike others, he does not want to move fast and show haste. He wants to move up slow and steadily to make it big in the industry. As of now, he is planning to take on Thiago Silva and give him the beating of his life. However, Alexander should not forget
that Thiago is among the best in the industry. He is known to be the top performers of UFC and Alexander definitely needs to train hard in order to beat a fighter like Thiago. If he is able to do it, Alex will surely reach his target of being the best sooner
than he has actually imagined.
