The former Bayern Munich striker has advised the Reds to stay relaxed throughout the second-leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Madrid.
Former Bayern Munich and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexander-Zickler-c4875, has advised Jupp Heynckes’ men not to lose focus ahead of the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Real Madrid. Both sides will meet on Wednesday,
April 25, at the Santiago Bernabeu with Bayern in ascendancy after a 2-1 win in the first-leg last week.
Zickler admitted that it will not be a walk in the park for his former employers and the team needs to maintain focus and momentum throughout the 90 minutes. He stressed at the importance of keeping the home side from scoring especially
in the early minutes as Real will definitely look to get level on aggregate terms as quickly as possible.
The 38-year-old mentioned that Los Blancos possess immense quality in their ranks and therefore Bayern will need to extra efficient at the back. While addressing a sports website, Goal.com, the former attacker further added:
"I think it's important to keep a clean sheet. That is always difficult to do against a team that consist of so many world-class players. It is almost impossible to focus only on one."
On the other hand, he urged the Munich giants to try scoring an away goal which will certainly put extra pressure on Jose Mourinho’s men. As things stand, Madrid need to score just once to get level on aggregate and progress through
to the final on away goals.
Zickler mused that the Bavarian giants need to play their natural game and not let the pressure get the better of them. He encouraged the Reds’ forward line to hit the hosts on counters and try securing a place in the final which
is scheduled to take place in their own backyard next month.
"Bayern should try to play their own game. They are very well staffed in attack and are always good for a goal. They should try to hold Madrid, and not be afraid," Zickler concluded.
A win for either side will book their tickets to Munich where they will take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in the other semi-final.
