Alexandrakollontai favourite for Champions League Specials At BetVictor Nursery
Alexandrakollontai has got a great opportunity of dominating the proceedings in the Champions League Specials At BetVictor Nursery at Ayr in England on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She did a wonderful job in her most recent outing and should not have any issues
in the class-6 encounter.
There has been plenty of rain at Ayr, thus the conditions have been described as heavy. The organisers will definitely conduct an inspection before giving a green signal to the race meeting at the venue. They will be hoping that things get better before
the start of action, but that will be dependent on the weather.
Looking at these track conditions, it seems that everything is working in favour of Alexandrakollontai. She does not have a very good stamina, but that will not matter much in the 7 furlong 50 yard contest, which is scheduled to kick off at 14:10 GMT.
The young filly has been given a general starting price of 2 to 1 and she will have to be really quick in order to claim the top spot. There are a few other decent runners up against her, so she should not get complacent. The punters will definitely risk
a lot of bets on her, hoping that she takes the victory with ease.
The two-year-old challenger made her first appearance in May 2012 and was unable to make a strong impression back then. She was given a general starting price of 40 to 1 and no one expected her to finish amongst the top-three. She gave an average performance
and had to settle for sixth place in the end.
Although, the Alistair Whillans’ trained filly finished as a runner up in her very next race, yet she did not gain much confidence after that performance. She struggled for consistency, but finally came in a position to challenger her opponents for victories.
Amadeus Wolf’s daughter brought up her maiden victory by just a head distance. She was not rated as the favourite to succeed that time around, but proved her critics wrong in the end.
In her most recent outing, Alexandrakollontai once again did better than the bookies expected from her and stormed to the top by five lengths. The track was heavy and she enjoyed it a lot under Julie Burke, who will once again be partnering her today.
