Alexandre Kaleka returns to France to participate in the ALLIANZ Golf Open Toulouse Metropole
Frenchman Alexandre Kaleka is set to return to his home country, where he is scheduled to participate in the ALLIANZ Golf Open Toulouse Metropole, at the Golf de Toulouse-Seilh course, slated to start from September 20, 2012.
In 2009, Kaleka made his winning debut on the European Challenge Tour through a victory in the ALLIANZ Open de Lyon.
Two weeks ago, he once again proved his mettle at the M2M Russian Challenge, by outshining the field, to take home his second career title.
The very next week saw him share the 10th position at the Kazakhstan Open, which moved him to the fourth place in the Challenge Tour’s money list.
“I am definitely confident entering the week,” said Kaleka. “A win is always the goal, but especially this week because it’s in France”.
“I’ve played solidly for the past two weeks. In Russia it just happened for me and I won and then last week I played well but just didn’t score as well as I could have. I hope I’ll be in good shape for this week,” he added.
This week, he is confident to thrash the field once again, because of the substantial experience he has on the venue course.
During his amateur career, he recorded a victory at the French Junior International Strokeplay Championships at the Golf de Toulouse-Seilh course.
According to him, he used to play in windy conditions that really suited him in the past. Therefore, he wished the same conditions to prevail in the upcoming tournament, so that he can use his experience to its maximum.
“I hope it will be a little bit windy because I have good memories of windy weather on that course,” he said.
He also plans to see some of his friends in the city, as he stated that he will bring his car with him and plans to roam around different parts of Seilh.
“It’s a really nice city and the food is great which is very important when you are on tour,” he said.
Alexander Levy is another player who will tee off this week. At the Kazakhstan Open, he led the field, entering the final round. However, Scott Henry made a strong charge on Sunday and took the title home.
