With the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302 to A.C. Milan in the January transfer market, Brazilian starlet, Alexandre Pato, has seen first team action hard to come by.
As things stand, the Brazilian is second in the pecking order behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic when it comes to choosing the team’s central forward. A major factor behind Pato’s benching is his inability to play alongside the Swedish super star.
Massimiliano Allegri fielded the two forwards together on Sunday, as Antonio Cassano is yet to regain full fitness, and Pato managed to score a wonderful goal that was assisted by Zlatan.
The Brazilian thinks he has proved his doubters wrong by scoring that goal.
However, A.C. Milan could only muster a draw as they missed a host of chances to take home the three points. Pato still believes he can partner Ibrahimovic upfront. They Selecao star has scored nine goals in 11 starts this season and many believe him to
be the future of the Rossoneri attack.
Massimiliano Allegri refused to be drawn on this issue, and blamed nervousness and injuries for the draw.
“The goal we conceded in the dying seconds of the first half made us a bit nervous and because of this we started the second half in a hurry to find another goal. Instead, we should have kept our nerve and tried to do things in the right way. We definitely
must improve from this point of view. Some of our injured players are about to recover and this is the most important thing”, Allegri complained.
It was A.C. Milan’s second draw on a trot. Consequently, SSC http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan managed to cut the Rossoneri’s lead with their respective victories.
Even though the two players are undoubted world class talents, their interplay and chemistry will be critical for A.C. Milan, particularly in the Champions League. With the club set for a double header against a talented Tottenham Hotspur outfit on 15th
of February, Allegri will have to weave his managerial wand in order, to get the best out of his talented forwards.
