It has been reported that Alex Ferguson has stepped up his efforts to land the Chilean mercurial winger, Alexis Sanchez from Udinese. This new urgency by the manager to land the winger came after the player went on to reveal that he would soon be on his
way out from the Italian club.
It seems that Sanchez has gone on to inform his current club that he will not be staying with them once the season has come to a close and as a result most of Europe has turned all their attention towards the Chilean international.
The twenty-two year old player’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, is reported to have said, “Various clubs have shown an interest and he will leave Udinese at the end of the season.
Despite everything that has been said and written, neither I nor the club have received offers for Sanchez [in January]. But I can confirm he will change clubs in June”.
This news has also managed to emerge only a few days after Ferguson has been reported to lose his patience with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Obertan-c14324.
The French winger was supposed to be the future at United, but has so far been nothing more than a big disappointment with glimpses of magic every now and then.
Nonetheless it also seems like Obertan had gone on to hand in a transfer request, which did get rejected, but he is still hoping to secure a move back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 at the end of the season.
If that is the case, it is apparent that Ferguson will be more than happy to oblige the player’s demands, as no one wants an underperforming, unhappy player amongst their ranks.
However, the positive aspect about this move is the fact that if the player is to leave United, then it is almost certain that Sanchez will make the switch to Old Trafford.
Sanchez has often been hailed to be the next Ronaldo and it seems like the only place that is fitting for him to live up to those comparisons, is the same place where Ronaldo perfected his trade – which happens to be Manchester United.
Sanchez is quite a versatile winger, who can play on either flank and has a venomous shot from both his feet. He also possesses tremendous flair and dribbling ability, which go rather well with his mercurial pace.
Nonetheless, United are almost certain to face a rather sturdy competition, when trying to land the player as the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, Manchester City and Barcelona are also reportedly targeting the player.
According to most experts, irrelevant of who lands the player, the team that is going to eventually capture his signature is going to have to fork out around fifteen to twenty million pounds to do so.
