Everyone is taking Cotto to win easily but I think Gomez will shock the welterweight world of boxing woth a lucky 7 round knockout! any predictions??? whoever predicts the correct outcome wins 10 points.

I would love to see Gomez stop Cotto and Gomez has mixed with bigger boys from contender like Manfredo, but Manfredo cant punch and he is also 1-1-1 with Jesse Felciano, i don't know if Gomez has the power to keep Cotto of him and expect Cotto to stop him about round 8.

I think alot of people are going to be shocked. I cant wait to the fight starts. Gomez has nothing to lose. Cotto just hope he dont lose. Gomez has a good game plan but just doing it and sticking to it.

Cotto reminds me of Larry Holmes in the 1980's. Because he could be stunned or even knocked down in bouts, I kept thinking well this next opponent will be the one to beat him. And Larry kept winning for a long time. Mr. Cotto made a believer of me when he made adjustments against Sugar Shane and Cotto's quality of opponents will serve him well against a very mentally-tough but overmatched Gomez.

After a fairly uneventful 2 rounds, the third will see Cotto starting to smack a bewildered Gomez around the ring, around the 5th round Cotto will land body shots till Gomez drops his hands, the finishing punch will be a hook to the body then a hook upstairs and Gomez will go to sleep for the night.

Gomez has the guts, but that might be a dangerous thing, I think its dangerous to put a built up reality TV fighter against a world class champion with more speed and punching power.

The only chance Gomez has is one luckier then h**l shot, but even that wont be enough. Gomez is going to get hurt, badly. I see him retiring after the fight. This is Gomez big payday, after this you wont hear from him again.

I think gomes will give cotto a tougher fight then what anyone expects. Gomes has fought slot bigger guys then cotto. But I still think cottos  great boxing skills will give him the edge and win by either late stopage or by decision. As for gomes never  under estimate the heart of a young Mexican warrior.

i dont think so... Ben Tackie stood up to Gomezs best in their last fight so i hope Cotto is as good ..... i do think Cotto will win a closer decision than most people think, but i wouldnt be surprised but a quick Stopage for Cotto .... is going to be a good weekend for boxing ....and not on PPV
