Albert Einstein once said, "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years left to live." Now Taiwan, another cell crazy nation (kind of) is losing bees. Some say fungus; others, GM crops. But we, us in our imperial wisdom, focus our sciences on the arts of shock and awe. Who's setting this anti-man science agenda? It's a travesty.

  1. Not just Taiwan, but middle USA and now Hawaii.  No bees, no corn or wheat.  When those go, so might we all.

  2. Man has always focused on war. The goal was really to find a way to win with the least killing, look at the Gatlin gun(theroy was less soldiers would be needed). Shock and awe was to defeat before ground troops move in to collect the surrenders. Yeah never works in the way it's supposed to. Kinda adding to the first person- The best laid plan of mice huh lol. Chief Seattle said "What befalls the Earth will befall the Children if the Earth". Just remember though sometimes it is time for a species to die. Nature is a living and ever changing thing. The real goal is for US to not kill off nature just because it is "in the way".

  3. First the frogs , now the bees. If the dolphins disappear, it's time to get worried...

  4. Since 1660, 724 species have disappeared (15 in the last 20 years). This is not a new phenomena, we`ve been aware of this situation for a long time. We 'humans' are the only responsible for their habitat destruct ions. For decades now we hear about the destruction of the Rain forest. 2 Acres of Tropical forest disappear every second! and we think (us industrial countries) that it will not ever affect us.

As we`ve always done, we (government and population) will take drastic measures at the very last minute to save the little of what will be left of the environment instead of focusing on the prevention.

We are being the author of our own destruction.
