Algea eater and heater?

my algea eater (not pleco) always hides behind the heater is he ok.

the tank temperature is 23c (73.4 degrees Fahrenheit) is it too cold

  1. he needs more places to hide, he ov dosnt have any or just dont like the ones youv'e provided for him...you can turn the temp up to 24c if it suits your other fish to.


  2. It may be a little bit cold for him. They usually like it around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but  74 will not kill him. It may also be that more algae grows near the heater because it is warmer there, and he is just eating the algea.
