Distribute to simplify the following expressions.

1. -4x2(3x2 - x + 1)

2. (-2x)(-3x)(5x+2)

Use the FOIL method to multiply the binomials.

3.

(x - 4)(x + 8)

4.

(3x + 4)2

Hint: (3x + 4)2 means (3x + 4)(3x + 4). It is called a "binomial squared" and it is multiplied out just like the others.

5.

(5 + x)(3 - 2x)

6.

(x-10)(x+10)

7. (x+2y2)(x-4y)

  1. problems are simple multiplication .I suggest see any book for example or use the following formula. You will learn and get fun

    x*x=x^2

    ax*bx=abx^2

    (a+x)(b+x)=ab+ax+xb+x^2

  2. The first two are similar. Let's do the first one

    1. -4x^2 distribute it out, and add the exponents.

    -12x^4 + 4x^3 + 4x

    2. Similar to one

    3. Multiply it out to get

    x^2 +8x - 4x + 32

    simplify the 8x-4x so you get x^2 + 4x + 32

    4 thru 7 are similar.
