If the surface area of a square is 9 sq. units, what is the perimeter of the square? Please explain how you got the answer!!!

also, what are some basic geometry pointers? what about algebra 1 graphing(ie parabola, inequalities, etc.) tips? i have a test for geometry readiness tomorrow, and i'd like to be prepared, and i've forgotten almost all of the lessons on graphing and haven't taken geometry yet! thanks.

  1. each side of this square is  3 units long [ since the area of a square is s^2]

    so a square has 4 sides = 3*4 = 12 units

    study is my tip for you...

  2. area of a sq. = s^2

    a = s^2

    9 = s^2

    s =3

    p = 4s

    p = 12

    from algebra 1, just remember to do opperations on both sides of the equation. for geometry, try to memorize basic area/ volume equations if you aren't given them on the test.
