  1. Because () are used, you need to answer whatever is in this field first.

    So that would be 7*4=28.

Then you have to answer whatever is in the []

    28+3=31

    Then add in the rest.

    31+15=46

  2. first you do the parenthesis first because of order of operations

the order of operations are: parenthesis, exponents, multiplication and division from left to right, and then addition and subtraction from left to right. OK, so first:

    the parenthesis:

    7*4 = 28

    so now the problem is

    [28+3] + 15

you still have to do what's inside the parenthesis, so it will be 28+3 which equals (=) 31

now the equation is [31] +15 or just simply 31+15

    31+15=46.

    I hope I helped :)

  3. its all order of operation...remember it from this

    P  arenthesis

    E  xponents

    M ultiplication

    D  ivision

    A  ddition

    S  subtraction

except when your deciding which to do first, multiplication or division, do what comes first in the expression/equation (left to right). same thing for addition and subtraction.

so this problem will look like this

    [(7*4)+3]+15

    [28 +3] + 15

    31 + 15

    46

  4. [28+3]+15

    31+15

    46

  5. =[28+3]+15

    =31+15

    =46

    hope this helps =)

  6. [(7*4)+3]+15

    you start in the brackets...

in the brackets there are brackets so you do those..\

    (7*4) = 28

    so you get [28+3]+15

    continue in the brackets

    [28+3] = 31

    so then you have 31+15

and thats simple enough.. the answer is 46

  7. [(7 x 4) + 3] + 15

Do things in the inner-most parentheses first

    = [28 + 3] + 15

Do thing in the parentheses first

    = [31] + 15

    Take off parentheses and add

    = 46

Hope this helps you!  Please email anytime for further questions.

  8. First do what is in the parenthesis:

    [(28) + 3] +15

Then you can add what is in the brackets:

    [31] +15

Then add those together to get 46.

  9. You need to work within the parenthesis first, then the brackets.

Remember PEMDAS, please excuse my dear aunt Sally, it really helps with the order of operations.

    Parenthesis,

    Exponents,

    Multiplication,

    Division,

    Addition,

    Subtraction

  10. 7x4=28 + 3 =31+15=46

  11. [(7*4)+3]+15

    [(28)+3]+15

    [31]+15

    46

  12. 7 times 4 equals 28

    28 plus 3 equals 31

    31 plus 15 equals 46

    46

  13. 40!!!!!!

  14. you go like this:

7*4=28, so you take this and add it to 3= 31

    then you add the 31 to 15 = 46

    Piece of cake :)

  15. [(28)+3]+15

    [31]+15

    46

    order of operations

  16. 46

  17. Remember your "Order of Operations"

    "P"lease (Parenthesis) - - - - - - - (7*4) = 28

    "E"xcuse (Exponents) - - - - - - - -there are exponents

    "M"y (Multiplication) - - - - - - - - - there is no multiplication

    "D"ear (Division) - - - - - - - - - - - - there is no division

    "A"unt (Addition) - - - - - - - - - - - -[28+3]+15 do brackets first

                                                    31+15 = 46

    "S"ally (Subtraction) - - - - - - - - - -There is no subtration

You have finished the order of operations and have concluded with the answer of 46. Congrats!!!

Solve all equations in this order. For equations containing brackets, do those before parenthesis. Good Luck

  18. In algebra the exponent is first (you don't have this here, so don't worry), then multiply/divide, then add/subtract. So good job, you have the parentheses right.

Now all you need to do is break it down step by step. Start with the inner parentheses and work outward.

    do the multiply first... (7*4) = 28

    then the next add.... (28 + 3) = 31

    then finally... (31 + 15) = 46

  19. [(7*4)+3]+15

    [28+3]+15

    31+15

    46
