its pretty easy... but i'm just double checking my homework answer...

1.a mountain climber ascends a mountain to its peak. the peak is 12, 740 ft above sea level. the climber then descends 200 ft to meet a fellow climber. find the climbers elevation about sea level after meeting the other climber

steps too please?? i got 12, 540.. but i think its wrong. idk?! if so please help!

  2. If he starts at the peak of 12,740 feet and descends 200 feet to meet another climber, then he met the other climber at 12,540 feet (which is your answer).  12,740 - 200 = 12,540.  The only thing that's confusing is that solving this question does not involve algebra.
