I have two questions.

1) The approximation method used to estimate a point between two

given points is called ???????????? . The

2) Find an equation of the line having slope -2 that passes through the point (1, 5) I got y - 5 = -2 ( x - 1 ) is that it?

    An approximation method used to estimate a point between two given points is called an "interpolation".

    An approximation method used to estimate a point lying outside the

    given points is called an "extrapolation".

    2)

    Yes, that's the correct equation in point-slope form.  I can't read the rest of your paper, of course, so I'm not sure whether you're supposed to leave it in point-slope form.
