  1. 2-3(x+4) = 8

    This is a very simple algebric equation. All u need to do is follow the basics of mathematics.

    First of all multiply the bracket term by 3

    -3 multiply by x = -3x

    -3 multiply by 4 = -12

    Now our equation is

    2 - 3x - 12 = 8

    Now take 2 and -12 to that side and thus change their signs.

    2 becomes -2 and -12 becomes +12

    -3x=8-2+12

    -3x=18

    x =  18 divided -3

    x =  -6

    Hope it helps!

  2. 2-3(x+4)=8  - - - > first you do the multiplication:

    2-3x-12=8 - - - - > Combine the 2 and the -12:

    -10-3x=8 - - - - - > Add ten to both sides

    -3x = 18 - - - - - -> Divide both sides by -3

    x = -6
