  1. They are:

    1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64

    1 squared = 1 * 1 = 1

    2 squared = 2 * 2 = 4

    and so on.

    It is less important that you "know" them as something special, but when any of those numbers appear in a problem...some little bell might go off in your head that says "hey, this is one of those numbers with special properties...gonna keep that in mind" kind of thing.

    Hope that helps!

  2. This is something most people know, but it is something that isn't too difficult to calculate.  Start with 1 and continue squaring integers, 1² then 2² then 3² etc., until you get a square that is greater than 80.

    1² = 1

    2² = 4

    3² = 9

    4² = 16

    5² = 25

    6² = 36

    7² = 49

    8² = 64

    9² = 81

    So, the perfect square integers between 1 and 80 are 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49 and 64.

    Hope this helps you!
