  1. x=3 y=-16

  2. in the second equation you could change it to read x=y-7

    then substitute it into the first equation

    3y + 6(y-7) = 3

    3y + 6y - 42 = 3

    9y - 42 = 3

    9y = 45

    y = 5

    and if y = 5 then x = y - 7, 5-7 or x = -2

  3. first get them both into slope-intercept form (y=mx+b). then graph them. find the point where the two lines intersect, and that's your answer.

  4. 3(-1)= -3+6(1)=3

  5. oh jeez....

  6. y=-2x+1

    and you can graph that by putting 1 on the y axis because it is the y-intercept and from the point (0,1) go down 2 and over to the right 1 (rise over run)...thats the graph and for the table put it as

    x      y=-2x+1           y

    2     y=-2(2)+1        -3

    1     y=-2(1)+1        -1

    0     y=-2(0)+1         1

    -1    y=-2(-1)+1        3

    -2    y=-2(-2)+1        5

  7. umm...
