1. add 20 to both sides: 28+2x<6x

    subtract 2x from both sides: 28<4x

    divide by 4: 7<x

  2. 8 + 2x < 6x - 20

    2x - 6x < -20 -8

    -4x < -28

    divide both sides by -4, remember that you have to change the sign when you do this

    x > 7

  3. 8+2x=6x-20

      -2x  -2x

    8=4x-20

    +20  +20

    28=4x

    /4  /4

    7=x
