  1. sorry, I don't know I'm in pre Algebra, try looking it up on google.  


  2. Break this up into two problems, and solve each separately:

    -3 ≤ 4x - 2 ≤ -1

    -3 ≤ 4x - 2 :: 4x - 2 ≤ -1

    -1≤ 4x :: 4x ≤ 1

    -1/4 ≤ x :: x ≤ 1/4

    Now put them back together, and there's your answer:

    -1/4 ≤ x ≤ 1/4

    or the range:

    [-1/4, 1/4]
