I can't figure out this dumb problem and it's driving me crazy! I keep doing it over and over and over but the answer won't match my calculator! Can you please show me how you did it? Thanks sooo much!

I am doing the distributive property thing.

c= -4, f= 2

-2(10f+4)-3(2c-6)-13+4(-2c+3f)=

  1. First get the ( ) out of the equation:

    -2(10*2+4)-3(2*-4 -6)-13+4(2*-4+2)

    -2    (24)   -3    (-14)    -13+4   (-6)

           -48        +42          -13      -24

                       -43

    just remember “PLEASE EXCUSE MY DEAR AUNT SALLY

    (P) parenthesis

    (E)  exponents

    (M) multiply and

    (D) division which ever comes first multiply or divide

    (A) add

      (S) subtract  again which ever comes first addition, or subtraction.

  2. -2(10f+4) - 3(2c-6) - 13 + 4(-2c+3f) =

    -20f - 8 - 6c + 18 - 13 - 8c + 12f =

    -8f - 8 - 6c + 18 - 13 - 8c =

    -8f - 8 - 14c + 18 - 13 =

    -8f - 14c - 3 =

    -8(2) - 14(-4) - 3 =

    -16 + 56 - 3 =

    37 = Final Answer

  3. -2(10(2)+4)-3(2(-4)-6)-13+4(-2(-4)+3(2))...

    -2(24)-3(-14)-13+(14)=

    -48+42+1=-5

  4. -2(24)-3(-14)-13+4(14)

    -48+42-13+56

    -19+56

    sorry if its confusing but im pretty sure thats it just plug c and f numbers where they belong in the problem. i did a short cut and just figured out 10x2+4=24 and so on. then multiplied that answer by the number outside the (#) and did simple math.

  5. -2(10f+4)-3(2c-6)-13+4(-2c+3f)=

    -20f-8-6c+18-13-8c+12f=

    -8f-8-6c+18-13-8c=

    -8f-8-14c+18-13 =

    -8f-14c-3 =

    -8(2)-14(-4)-3 =

    -16+56-3 =

    -16+53=37

  6. 10f+4=24

    -2(10f+4)=-48.......part 1

    2c....-8

    2c-6=-14

    3(2c-6)=-42

    -3(2c-6)=42..........part 2

    -2c=+8

    3f=6

    3f-2c=6+8=14

    4(3f-2c)=4*14=56.....part3

    part1+part2+(-13)+part3=-48+42-13+56.....

    37

  7. is there anything more to the problem? like a key or something
