Ok, I'm gonna ask you to please pretend that my slashes (/x/) are the symbol for absolute value, and to please explain your answer the best you can. I think it should be fairly easy. Here's the problem, it's an inequality:

/ 3x -2 / +7< -11

Thank you for the help ^-^

  1. Well first you need two equations the first one would be

    3x-2 + 7 <-11

    3x+5<-11

        -5 -5

    3x<-15

    x<-5

    The second one is

    -3x+2+7<-11

    -3x +9<-11

         -9 -9

    -3x<-20

    x> 20/3 or 6 and 2/3
