how do you do these problems (showing work)?:

1. determine the equation for a line with slope 1/2 and y-intercept at (0,-3).

2. (x + 6)²

the equation has -3 on the end because of the y intercept. slope is 1/2 so the equation is

y = 1/2 x -3

2. (x + 6)(x + 6) so it would be x^2 +12x +36.k.

1)  y = 0.5x -3

2) x^2 + 12x + 36

Use the equation y = mx + b

m, is the slope, which is 1/2 or 0,5

y=0,5x+b

b is the y-intercept, which is -3

So the equation is y=0,5x-3
