Question

1) The distance between city A and B is 200 miles. The distance between city B and C is 300 miles. What is the distance between city C and A??

2) What is 1/x+1 + 1/x ? x cannot = 0 or -1.

3) In a class of 50 students, 18 take music, 26 take art, 2 take both art and music. How many students dont take either music or art?? im stuck between 8 and 6?? So which one is the answer??

1) The distance is 500 miles. From A to B 200 miles. From B to     C 300 miles. From C to A 500 miles.

2) if x= 1 than the answer is 3, but it depends what the value of x  

    is. if x= 2 than the answer is 2. if x=3 than the answer is 1 2/3.

3) That would be 4.    18 take music + 26 take art + 2 take both      = 46 students involved in music, art, or both. 50 - 46 = 4.

2) 1/x + x/x + 1/x = (x+2)/x

3) 16 music only, 24 art only, 2 both art and music.

16+24+2=42, so 8 take neither art nor music.
