  1. You are going to cross multiply. So the question is x/6= -10

    so you do x/6*6/1 this cancels out the 6's and leaves x

    then you multiply the 6 on the other side with the -10 to get -60.

    Hope that helps!

  2. Then    x / 6 = -10 /1 o.k.then 1x=-10(6),then x= -60

  3. Multiply each side by 6 and then it will cancel the six in the denominator so you will just have 6 and 6 times -10 is -60 so your answer in x=-60

  4. Hi. What you have to do is solve the equation so you can find x.

    So we have to get the x by itself by canceling the 6 on the left hand side. To do that we do the opposite of divide which is multiply.

    So multiply the left hand side by 6 and you will get rid of the 6 on the left and x is left by itself.

    What you do on one side you have to do to the other side to keep the equation balanced so multiply the other side by 6 too.

    Now the equation is:

    x = -10x6 (the divide 6 on the left got cancelled).

    So solve it.

    -10x6 = -60

    So the final answer is:

    x = -60.

    Have a good day.

  5. OK

    x/6 = -10 ; multiply each side by 6

    x = -60

    Proof

    -60/6 = -10 ??

    -10 = -10 YES!!

    Hope that helps.

  6. x/6= -10

    it is just a simple matter of multiplying -10 by 6 to give you x

    x= -10*6

    x= -60

    verity( checking that it is right)

    sub in -60 for x

    -60/6=-10

    -10=-10

    therefore x=-60

  7. x/6=-10

    x=-10(6)

    x=-60

  8. x/6 = -10

    if you just have a variable such as "x" in the numerator, and a value in the denominator, you can just mulitply both sides of the equation by whatever number the denominator is (in this case 6) to get the numerator alone.

    so x/6 x 6 = -10 x 6

    6's cancel out, youre left with x = -60

  9. ugh i hate algebra..........sorry i cant be of help but im pretty sure u multiply each side by 6 so u wind up with 60 or something idk good luck to u and wish me luck in algebra this year ! just found out i might be in pre which makes no sense to me lol
