plz explain because i dont understand this..

  1. Always try to look at it this way to make it easier... Example...

    A/R       X/Q

    Say you knew what A, R, and Q were but you didn't know what X was. How you solve is a simple pattern. You would do A times Q then divide that by R, or whatever are in there places.

    For yours it would look like this...

    68/168       X/240

    So you need to multiply 68 times 240 which gives you 16320 and divide that by 168. With those numbers the answer would be 97.14285714 or 97&(1/7)

    You can use this with the numbers in any position as long as you know three and you multiply in the right order.

    A/R     X/Q

    With this say you knew A, Q, and X but not R you would simple multiply Q times A then take that answer and divide it by X for the value of R!!
