Ali Carter's club Chelmsford Snooker Centre hosts final qualifiers of the 2012 Snookerbacker Classics
World number six, Ali Carter is happy to organise the final event of 2012 Snookerbacker Classics qualifiers at his club, the Chelmsford Snooker Centre, Essex. The event provides an opportunity for
the amateur players to qualify for Q School and PTC.
World Snooker is providing different routes to amateur snooker players to qualify for professional tours. These routes include World Snooker Qualifying School (Q School) and Players Tour Championships
(PTC). The Snookerbacker Classic event is another addition to these as it will make it easy for players who want access to both pro tour qualification tournaments.
According to the playing format of 2012 Snookerbacker Classic, a player can collect back his entrance fee of £50 if he wins four matches. Winning another two games will earn him Q School entry, and
grabbing the overall tournament can bring him four PTC entries as well as the event trophy.
Venues for the events have been finalised and it will commence from Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Lucky Break Snooker Centre in Glasgow. Other venues with event dates are given below:

Event 2: Northern Snooker Centre, Leeds – Friday, December 2, 2011
Event 3: The South West Snooker Academy, Gloucester – Monday, January 30, 2012
Event 4: The Chelmsford Snooker Centre, Essex – Friday, February 10, 2012

Host of last qualifying event, the Chelmsford Snooker Centre in Essex, is run by The Captain, Ali Carter, and he is quite happy to host the event. He believes it is a golden opportunity for amateurs
to prove their talent and become a professional player.
While speaking to Snookerbacker, Carter said, “The Snookerbacker Classic series of tournaments is a great initiative from Snookerbacker and I’m delighted to be able to host one of the events at Chelmsford
Snooker Club. Snookerbacker has a passion and enthusiasm for the game at all levels, not just the top flight and I have no doubt that the tournaments will be well run and successful.”
He added, “I would encourage all you keen players out there to sign up and come along and get involved. The tournaments provide a great opportunity for a springboard into the Q school and then maybe
even the professional ranks.”
Carter feels honoured to host the event and wishes luck to young snooker players from across the globe.
