  1. No disrespect to today's match, but I have watched tennis matches that I felt were more classic.  The Borg McEnroe final to me is the pinnacle of tennis rivalaries, because they were extremely gifted tennis players with totally contrasting styles of play.  Believe it or not, but Borg was an even more gifted athlete than Nadal, and had amazing groundstrokes.  McEnroe was a serve & volley genius.  Borg was quiet and emotionless on the court.  McEnroe was loud, and obnoxious.  To me, their rivalry was the best ever in tennis.

The very best Wimbledon Final that I've seen was the Goran Ivanisevic victory in 2001.  Now, THAT was serious drama.  He had already lost in the finals on 3 seperate occasions, and was over 30 and practically retired from professional tennis when he came back and stunned the world by beating Patrick Rafter in the finals.  Read up on that match at the link below.  It was breath taking.

Today's final is getting a lot of hype because it happened today.  It was spectactular. It is the third best Wimbledon finals that I've ever watched.  Can't wait to see those guys play again.

  2. In 1971 it would have probably been Ali/ Frazer if you are into boxing...but now it would have to be Federer/ Nadal...thats if you are into tennis...  If you are into both then probably the Federer/ Nadal because it is recent...and you have to admit it was a great victory for Nadal...but then again a great victory for Frazier...so I guess both were/ are best at the time it happened...I am a tennis fan so I would have to go with Federer/ Nadal...

  3. Federer Vs. Nadal  2008

    Gotta Love Nadal.
