Alicante to Scotland??!!!?? Help plz.?

I am going to Alicante in Spain in august, and was wondering how i could contact Scotland? Is there a special telephone code i have to enter before i put in the number?

dial 00 that puts you on international then 44, the uk code. then the area code you want without the 0 then the personal number

u put 0044 before the number and miss out the 0 in the phone number ie say the number is 0181766722  u would phone [phone]
