in the music "no one" it says:

"when the rain is pouring down and my heart is hurting/you will be always around/ this I know for certain"

what does mean "rain is pouring down"?

while translating the music I had this feeling that it is not really about "rain".

Its not making sense for me.

what do you think? Is it literally about rain pouring down?

In English, "rain" often stands for sadness. So if the "rain is pouring down", she means a great deal of sadness is in her life, as if sadness was falling down on her like rain.

I think what she means is when it is raining hard , every one is sad, with my heart hurting I'm sad . . .but when you are around every thing will be alright (Happier)  It literally means raining hard - to convey a feeling of sadness.

it does actually mean rain.

In Classic love scenes when someone is heartbroken or upest they're always in a street crying with rain pouring hard on them, so when it says when the rain is pouring down, it means when things are really bad.

when the rain is pouring down it means its raining heavily, like lots and lots of rain, it's a love song and therefore not literally about pouring rain alicia is just stating no matter what and no matter where she will be thinking of her lover and that no one can stop that
