Question:

Alien Technology - Only if you believe it exists! Outside the box question?

Lets say for instance that someone might have an alien artifact. This is a solid object say 18"X18" square.

And on that artifact there is writing. Lets say that the writing is more like symbols. But this symbol is more than just a symbol, but a specific function of the material in question. You can't interpret that symbol function because of its far advanced meaning. But, upon breaking a piece off of this square object and looking under a microscope you see that even the smallest piece is a exact copy of the whole, that somehow the meaning of the symbol is copied in every molocule of this material.

Lets say that when activated or charged, the square knows it is meant to automatically place itself somehow in a functional enviroment because that is what it was built to do.

So now lets say that when you have charged/activated the square, even the smallest piece you break off activates and comes to life taking its place with the square as if it was still a whole functional device.

  1. sounds like something I read on

    earthfiles.com

    yesterday

if this is where you got it, then I think you need to open a research lab to find your answer,

    if not,

then you should read it, it has lots of really good info on where to start,

    http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=12...

make sure to read part 2

    http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=12...

this info has had my head spinning all day thinking about it.

I think this concept is the distant future of computers.

  2. So, whats the question?  Also, you have essentially described living tissue...the "smallest piece" being an individual cell, and the "symbol" being the DNA sequence it contains.

  3. Sounds like a mixture of memory metal and nanite technology. A few tests you can perform is determine if the metal is ferrous or not by attaching a magnet. Also attempt to measure voltage and resistance in at rest state as well as a state at which the object is replicating. This can help determine if the object is generating, or absorbing energy to replicate. Also if you can get your hands on a geiger counter and a an emf sensor you can attempt to see if there is any radiation or an increase in the object magnetic field. As for activating the object you can attempt to trace the symbols individually or in groups to determine a function. Think about it why would anyone waist the time and effort to make the symbols visibile if they were not instructions of some sort.

  4. This is the longest rhetorical question I've ever seen.  You have a very active imagination.

  5. Where there is a force, there is a material source of the force.this square might have a coordinated reaction between

and external force(in this case you,and by touching it,or maybe as incredible it might sound,by thinking like 'activate'

and visualizing the symbol it what's make it start to function)and the device internal components, kind of a chemical reaction,or kinetic energy, gosh! you got my mind thinking in all directions - just to give you this brief kind of possibility

Quantum vortex is another theory that comes to mind

  6. I think, first, I'd try to find out what it's made of. Is it made up of common elements in the universe or is it something else all together? Second, what exactly does it do? Is that part of the question?

This is a seriously interesting question and I'll have to give it some thought. If even a piece of it still functions as the whole square, even when it's not attached, there may be some form of intelligence in the artifact. There may be some higher purpose to its existence, like say, construction. Say that this square was really a house/building/ship that just needed a quick jolt of energy to activate. You give it that jolt, and it starts to do exactly what it's programmed to do: build something, the house/building/ship.

Perhaps it's a weapon, and when you give it the jolt of energy, it soars up into the atmosphere and blankets the earth, keeping light and heat out so that we all freeze to death. Who knows?

Anyhoo, great question! I'm gonna be thinking about that for a while.
