so..i wasnt there..but my dad was cheking out our tangelo trees in the backyard..and he noticed that the leaves were being eaten by some bug..so he was lookin around and he found a weird, alien looking worm-like creature in it..he said that it had a big head and was grey in color..no fuzz or legs .

so anyways, he went to poke it with a stick and then some anttenas came out of the head..

then he stepped on it to kill it ...and there was this p**p looking stuff that came out of it and the insides was kind of gooey looking and bright bright yellow..

i find this funny bc he was so exited about it ..he had never seen anything like it..

we like in south GA..so maybe its a southern worm ..idk..

please help!!

thanx

  1. i believe that there are some swallowtail butterfly caterpillars that get on citrus and for awhile they look bird droppings

  2. it could have been the very rare and quite valuable NofuzzgrayGA worm, but SINCE YOU KILLED IT we'll never know..............

  3. If these things are wrapped in a cocoon then they are bag worms... and they are usually found on cypress trees. Look up "bag worm" in yahoo images to compare. If they are not bag worms, do a search online by describing the worm. That is how I found what destroyed my Cypress tree!
