forbidden history is a pretty good book.  If reading sitchin, start at the beginning.  A decent magazine is Atlantis Rising, though there are others like god's slave species by michael tellinger.  has some humorous takes on religion, well not all that humorous, but allows someone to see a side of religion that is right out in front, but a point that people miss, especially religious people.

to lewis - Wouldnt it be more logical that they be assumed real until all proof has been exhuasted that they dont and cannot exist?

I say give me proof that no life can ever exist in the infinite universe and that the circumstances on every planet in every solar system in every galaxy will never be the right temperature and stability to sustain life and i will believe that aliens are not real.

Life probably exists on other planets, whether it is intelligent life or not remains to be seen!

Let's keep in mind that we as humans have been looking for ways to explore planets light years away for more than a century.  Whose to say another life form hasn't already discovered a way to do it and visited our planet?  To think that we're the only intelligent forms of life in this vast span of eternity is beyond arrogant.  Do we actually have some hostages?  We'll never know.  Our government has secrets the President doesn't know about.  It's not totally impossible.

Ugh, more wasted time.

+ Extra-terrestrial life forms may exist.

+ If they do there is no evidence to suggest they have visited Earth.  Therefore, it is premature to refer to them as "aliens".

+ If they have visited Earth there is no reason to believe so-called "Area 51" is in any way connected with such visits.

As far as anyone can tell Area 51 is just a federal aircraft test facility.  I think someone's tinfoil hat is too tight.

Area 51 is a test facility for cutting edge aircraft. THe sr-71 blackbird and the stealth bomber were both flown there as prototypes. I know someone who used to work there. It's all rather less romantic than people hanging out with aliens. That's not to say they dont exist, just not in area 51!

didn't really feel like listening to that guy talk, but i for one think they are real, think about it, the universe is so big that you don't even know what else could be out there. its very hard to believe that we are the only living things in space. lets just hope we make contact one day, that would be one of the biggest events in the world history.
