Aljamaaheer set to surprise in Surprises Handicap
Aljamaaheer is all set to surprise both the punters and the spectators by winning Dubai Duty Free Full Of Surprises Handicap at Newbury racecourse on Friday, April 20.
The Roger Varian-trained young colt will add second straight victory to his career chart with the Handicap title.
In the Class 3 contest over a distance of 7 furlongs, the maverick novice runner is set to face 13 rivals including Compton, Gregorian, Usain Colt, Elusive Flame, Self Centred, Three Am Tour, Van Der Art, Newnton Lodge, Sans Loi, Lunar Deity, Red Quartet,
I’m So Glad and Tartiflette.
Containing £6,536 of prize cheque, the ace race will begin at 2:40 (GMT).  Each of the above runners looks to be strong and talented enough but Aljamaaheer leads all in terms of the unique talent he has exposed with just one race of his career.
The three-year-old talented colt gained a 5-4 favourite tag for the very first race he participated on October 18, 2011. Against 11 potential competitors, the brilliant sprinter excellently clinched top spot.
This landmark triumph proved to be a big breakthrough for the colt, establishing him as a favourite prospect in the betting market.
At the moment, Aljamaaheer is carrying immense winning momentum along with sheer fighting spirit which will help him thrive today. His chances to finish first in the Handicap are more than 90 percent.
However, some of his opponents like Usain Colt and Elusive Flame can trigger upsets.
Usain Colt staged his debut on July 31, 2011 and elegantly finished 6th in his maiden race. The Richard Hannon-trained bay colt went ahead to clinch top spot in the very second outing on October 21.
On the other hand, Elusive Flame bagged a couple of consecutive victories during August-September 2011. David Elsworth’s bay filly went ahead to grab 8th position in her last outing on September 23.
It is predicted that the competition will be greatly tough but Aljamaaheer is likely to outplay all his rivals to seal success convincingly. Good luck to the colt.
