Khaider Alkhanov has criticized Alexei Miller’s idea on creating the CIS championship in football, stating it as a crazy stunt and accused the organizers of being unpatriotic
Terek Grozny vice President, Khaider Alkhanov, has sharply criticized the idea of the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, on the organization of the CIS championship in football.
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 is one of the largest country in the world and the league here is competitive. What is the purpose of the people promoting this idea? That they are not happy with our championship or with our country?” the Russian national was quoted as saying.
According to the vice-president, to participate in such competitions clubs have volunteered to leave the Russian Premier League.
"These initiatives, people just show disrespect for our championship. The whole idea is so crazy that even discussing it is pointless. I know that my opinion coincides with the fans, and with the leadership. What you're asking me something, really do not understand why this is necessary,” Alkhanov went on.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Football Union passed the idea of drafting CIS championship. The liked the idea behind organizing such a tournament after being suggested by Miller.
This statement was made by Miller after penalties imposed on Zenit St. Petersburg following the incident at Khimki, where their fans threw firecrackers from the stands.
The match officials abandoned the match between Zenit and Dynamo Moscow after a firecracker exploded under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anton-Shunin-c6283’s feet. The goalkeeper was then taken to the hospital where he received necessary medical treatment.

Alkhanov revealed that he is surprised to know interest from people regarding the creation of a new tournament.
