The whole continent is blooming and Gajjar was extremely happy at this advancement and believes that this tournament will help nurture those fascinating youngsters into professional squash icons.
Tournament President, Vijay Gajjar, finally aired the most awaited news for the junior squash stars of Africa and while talking to media representatives during a press conference, he said, “While Egypt go from strength to strength
at the top of the sport, here in Africa there are encouraging signs of growth in a number of other countries. A number of traditional squash-playing nations have a well-developed squash culture – in Congo, for example, the government has provided land for
a national centre, and a new scheme ‘Squash to Schools’ has been launched there”.
Squash has been flourishing in Africa in recent past and juniors have been practicing hard at courts to learn traits of playing professional squash at elite platforms. President was excited at seeing this sport being played in
Namibia at elite levels and their players were competing in the Men’s World Team Championships, first time in the history of Namibian squash.
President of World Squash Federation, Ramachandran, was extremely delighted at this advancement made by African Squash Federation and appreciated their efforts in promoting squash to that part of the world. He said “Sub Saharan
