  1. I have been on pointe now for four years and everytime my shoes start getting soft my teacher tells me to shellack them.

At first I was like - what is she talking about??

But then she explained that it is something that starts off as a liquid but when drys turns very hard.

So what you do is put a bit of it in your shoe and move it around. This will harden the block of the shoe.

It will only give you one - two weeks but that cuts out a whole pair of shoes for you.

I have have never personally tried it myself but my friends have and they said it works very well if you are just trying to get that little bit extra time with the shoes.

** you can buy it at a hardware store and make sure you get the white or else it come in orange and that would stain your shoes.

  2. Urm i use Harrisions, you can get them from bloch stores,  they are good coz you can easily feel where the platform is and also the glue they use doesnt break down as easily as some others. Also for padding i use Ouch-Pouches they are LIFE savers they really save your feet from all sorts of blisters!

    Anyways hope this helped!

  3. Grishko 2007

there super hard shoes and they last a long time

i love these shoes and yes use padding use toe pads by capezio

    :] happy dancing!

  4. i used last year bloch but this year im gonna be using chacotte

  5. I dance in Bloch Aspirations and I used to dance in Bloch Serenades. I like that the shank is harder in aspiration because it works my foot better and shows off my arch more :). Then I like Serenades better, mostly because they're the ones I used first, so my body is most comfortable with them. But I acclimated to Aspirations and they support my feet. Also, my feet are a little wider and both shoes accomodate for that.

I use lambs wool in my shoe. I forgot them one class and danced with nothing, and I could only make it through barre. So I definitely like my lambs wool padding.

I'm going to try grishko 2007's as soon as my current shoes die, though. I tried on a friend's and they felt so easy to dance in!

  6. I use Capezios and they are my favorite. I like Tendu 2. They are for people with regular or wide feet. They are great because they last a while (you would like that) and they have wonderful boxes.

Freed Classics are good, but you may want to try a different type of Freed, like Freed Studios.

You may want to try Blochs, but I dont recomend it, and also if your teacher doesnt like Gaynor Minden then she will probally not like Blochs.

I do not use padding, i use lambs wool and plenty of tape.

If you stick to your Freed Classics, to make them last longer use Jet Glue. You can put it on your shank, box, or wherever your pointe shoe needs it.

    Hope this helps :)

  7. i just got Capezio Glisses and i love them!!! they have a wide box and i love that about them. they are very good if you have wide ugly feet like mine. i used to wear Capezio Contemopra's and i loved those also. they are also a very comfortable shoe. i would try one of these two shoes if i were you because they are both amazing!!

and for toe pads, i like using the ouch pouch with the contempora's and the gels for the glisse's i know im weird. ha

    i really hope i helped. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  8. I wear Bloch B-moprh and I love them, they feel so good on my feet! But I might get freeds, I think there better, but I'm not sure

I use Gellows reversible, they're awesome

  9. i like bloch. nice shoes. Um i use like....wool and toe pads. i wear footies also.

  10. I like the Bloch Serenades. My teacher doesn't allow padding just paper towel, but it works great for me. Then when you put on padding it feels like nothing. You never have to worry about forgetting.
