All Blacks coach Graham Henry happy with outstanding win over Wallabies - Rugby News
All Blacks coach, Graham Henry, is delighted with the superb victory of his team over the Wallabies. The All Blacks dumped the Australians by a handsome margin of 30-14 in Auckland on August 6.
Henry’s men were impressive with their efforts to crush the Wallabies in every aspect of the match as they produced a remarkable defence to keep the Australians away from the scoring lines. Henry declared the victory on August 7 a great achievement for the
All Blacks and one that it will boost their confidence in Rugby World Cup 2011.
Talking to media, New Zealand’s head coach, Graham Henry, said that his boys played up to the mark in the match. The coach declared his players approach in outclassing the Wallabies as professional.
Henry praised his side and said that, "It was great to win and the Bledisloe Cup is very important to Richie (McCaw) and the boys. They're delighted about that and the way they played the game. They played very professionally. I thought the defence was outstanding."
The Wallabies coach, Robbie Deans, also appreciated Henry’s men and expressed disappointment with his own players. Deans said that, "We are pretty disappointed with our effort. Tactically, we probably didn't help ourselves. We allowed the All Blacks to establish
the d-line (defensive line) and allowed them to establish some line speed in that defence and that stymied our attack.”
The All Blacks dominated their arch rivals from the very first minute of the game and pushed Australia onto the back foot with their repeated attacks. Meanwhile, All Blacks proved rock solid in their defencive techniques and scored 17 unanswered points during
the first-half of the match. The Wallabies managed to score a few points in the second-half but by then it was too late for them.
All Blacks scored three tries along with tremendous individual display by Dan Carter. Carter scored 15 points for his team to secure a crucial win before the Rugby World Cup 2011. All Blacks will play their next match of Tri-Nations Cup 2011 against Springboks
on August 20.
