All Blacks winger Zac Guildford accussed of sexual harassment - Rugby News
All Blacks star Zac Guildford, who allegedly created a serious incident at a bar a couple of days earlier, has now been charged with sexual harassment. Kelly Pick has told media on November 15 that she was harassed sexually by the drunken All Blacks player
while she was walking along the road. Guildford was seen in an objectionable condition at a local casino in Rarotonga where he was naked and bleeding from a wound to his head.
New Zealand Rugby Union has received a number of complaints about the behaviour of its player and it is likely to take action after the unacceptable incident. Zac Guildford has been known to over indulge in alcohol. He revealed this to NZRU management during
the Rugby World Cup 2011 but he remained successful in avoiding any problems during that campaign.
Guildford made his International debut with the All Blacks back in 2009 and has played in nine tests for his team. The 22-year-old wing joined the All Blacks only at the age of 19. He was the youngest player to make a debut for All Blacks.
He was also the part of All Blacks during the RWC 2011 and boosted his side with four tries in his maiden outing of the global showpiece. He was given a late chance in the tournament and was featured only in the last pool match against Canada.
According to the fresh updates the young man was charged with sexual harassment allegations. Kelly Pick has reported the incident to the local police which could create some difficulties for Guildford. She told the media that, “His behaviour was totally
inappropriate to the point where I felt unsafe. He was obviously highly intoxicated and driving his rental scooter very dangerously and speeding like an idiot. I got back from my run totally shaken and angry that someone feels they have the right to harass
and leer at other people.”
She further said that, “(He) can't just continue this kind of behaviour and there be no consequences for him.”
Meanwhile, the player has regretted the incident and his inappropriate behavior.
