I am thinking of buying the Chi flat iron, but from the reviews, they say it works great but breaks really easily. But i think it depends on how u treat it or something. How are ur experiences with the CHI? is it worth it?

thanks

  1. I had a Chi for 2 1/2 years before it broke. I bought another one back in January and it's still going strong. I love my Chi. I don't think I'll ever change straighteners.

  2. Had one in our house for what will be 2 years in December. It is still working and used by 4 woman regularly. No problems with it ever! And we are not that careful with it. Leave it plugged in for long periods of time and throw it bathroom drawer.

  3. I'm really sick of reading answers about how chi sucks and is not worth it becuase it breaks. Here's a little lesson people: Chi is the most popular selling iron in the world. Say what you want, think what you want, but it's a fact. When a company such as Farouk (manfucaturors) of Chi, sell as many irons as they do...let's say in the last year they sold 4 million irons.....versus solia who might have sold 1 million.....you are going to see far more chi irons with defects simply  becuase of the sheer volume of them being sold. Chi is a very good, reliable brand which i have been selling in my salon for over 5 years.

  4. Deff. worth it!!!!!! They are amazing at straightening and making it silky smooth! it means what it says went they say your hair will be softer and better then before when you start using it! I love mine! And who ever said they break easy is not right! They could break easy if you really tried to break it. I would say mine I'd pretty durable! I would just get a pouch to keep it in. Don't keep it out in the open if you have small children/brothers/sisters because they can get HOT!!! I hoped I helped! :)

  5. i have had mine for 2 years and it still works great.

i have not heard about them breaking,

and when you get one they have a warranty cause they are so expensive.

but it is definatlly worth it,

    i love mine so much!

    and they work so well!

    GOOD LUCK!

  6. the chi is great. it does break easily but if it doesnt turn on you just have to remember to press the refresh button or something like that.

the chi is cheap but its just as if you were putting your hair into an oven, it can severly damage hair. so if your using it, also buy the chi serum and put a small amount in your hair after straightening it to keep it healthy and strong.

if you could spend a bit more money, drop the chi and get the royale (roy-Al not roy-uhl - as in apple.) it is fully ceramic (unlike the chi which is ceramic over metal) and it doesnt leave your hair with a burnt smell, it also leaves your hair super shiny and can straighten, curl, and crimp your hair just by using it different ways! its originally 160$ but you can find sales all over for it.

  7. no way! they're awesome. my sister and i had ours for about 4-5 years. they are a little on the pricey side, but it's so worth it. the results you get are smooth, silky, completely straight hair!
