All Collectors i need help!?

I have this hot wheels car and i was gonna use it on a prodject but art teacher said it was worth like $20-$30 and i would be stupid to use it.... so went on ebay to see if he was right absolutly not the most expensive one was $1.00...................................... C mattel,Inc 1970

Trust Ebay. It sets the price based on real market factors not some teachers assumption.

This might help...

  The Original Rodger Dodger was issued in 1975 and was made in Hong Kong. It had a metal base and Red Stripe Tires. Main color was Plum with flames. A mint example can sell fro upto $75- $100. A rare variation of it is in Blue with Flames with Red Stripe Tires and it can go for upwards of $1500-$2500 dollars.

   It came out about a year later in a Gold Chrome in both Redline tires and without. Clean example about $25.00

  The new release of it ( which is made in Malaysia ) are worth about $1.00. Quite common an different variations.

Sometimes a wheel variation can cause it to gain a little value, but nothing major.
