  1. You won't get depressed if you sleep a lot when you're sick. If your body is telling you to sleep, give in to it. Depression takes longer to onset than the duration of your average cold.

  2. Sleep is the way the body heals itself. Go ahead and sleep as much as you need to while you are sick and even when your not. You only sleep as long as needed.

  3. You have to listen to your body.  If you're sick, you need rest.  Having said that, have you seen your doc?  How long have you been needing to sleep a lot?  Is it just a cold/flu, or do you have mono or something else?  Make sure you're taking care of yourself physically.

If you're depressed----trust me---you'll know it.  You won't even CARE if you're sleeping all the time.  You basically won't care about much at all.

    Take good care.

  4. Sleep, you need it for your health. I take it that the only reason you could get depressed if you sleep all day is if you have stuff to do and or someone to meet. Take it easy. Don't get depressed. If you have stuff to do maybe you could find simple things to do like pay your bills on-line to ease your conscience? If you have someone to meet, you need to tell them. If it's a friend or family they should understand, if it's part of a job, call in a sick day. I hoped I helped. Don't Worry Be Happy and sleep
