All India Junior Ranking Tournament: P. V. Sindhu easily bags Girl’s Singles U19 title
P. V. Sindhu, the most promising junior shuttler from India, showed her remarkable skills on court as she easily overpowered the top seeded Arathi Sara Sunil in the final contest at the All India Junior Ranking Tournament 2012 on Monday, August 6, at Hyderabad,
India.
The World Number 26 Sindhu, who participated in this local tournament as an un-seeded player, showed her tremendous skills on court and easily thrashed her top seeded rival Arathi without showing even a slight respect.
The experienced Sindhu was on a different level on court while playing against her compatriot and she did not face even a slight problem in winding up the contest in straight games with a completely one-sided score on the board.
On the other hand, the confused Arathi could not cope up with the pace and perfection of Sindhu and remained struggling in all areas of the court. She could not stop the aggression of her rival and lost the match without showing her brilliance.
In the first game, Sindhu played aggressive game aiming to take an early lead which helped her to generate a huge pressure on her opponent.
The in-form Sindhu continued her smooth sailing in the opening half and set up a killing lead on score board.
After the one-minute break, Sindhu showed her class at net as she played impressive spinning shots and also employed deception in her strokes which kept disturbing the rhythm of her rival.
The passionate Sindhu was in commanding position in the concluding half of first set and she did not commit any mistake in ending it up with a huge margin of 21-10.
In the second game, Arathi tried to play dominating badminton but she failed to play positively as her rival kept the pace very high.
Sindhu remained composed on court and played with precision to take an impressive lead until the break.
After the interval, Sindhu continued putting up good show and she easily took the second game with a one-sided 21-5 score on the board.
The impressive Sindhu ended up the final contest in straight games with an inspiring margin of 21-10 and 21-5.
