All India Sub Junior Ranking: M. Saikiran brushes aside R. Vikash Prabhu in qualifying round
India’s talented player M. Saikiran showed his impressive skills on court and made his presence felt by winning his first battle in Boy’s Singles U13 qualifying round against his team-mate R. Vikash Prabhu at the All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament
in India, on Monday, October 22.
Saikiran was in impressive form as he played with remarkable precision and managed to register a comprehensive victory over his compatriot by finishing up the battle in straight games with a completely crushing margin.
The in-form Saikiran was in his best form when he played with tremendous precision and managed to overpower his challenger in straight games by working on court for just 20 minutes.
On the other hand, Vikash could not show even a slight aggression on court as he failed to match the skills of his in-form opponent and remained struggling all the way and lost the match with a huge difference on score board.
In the first game, Saikiran played with excellent control in his shots and managed to occupy the driving seat from starting points.
Saikiran was quite comfortable in taking the bird timely from all corners and he did not encounter any trouble in hitting his shots in targeted areas.
Until the end of first half, the incredible Saikiran achieved a strong position on board by setting up a huge lead.
The aggressive Saikiran remained comfortable on court after the one-minute break as he played with the same speed and control.
Saikiran was quite consistent in executing powerful strokes in targeted areas and managed to bag the opening game with an incredible margin of 21-9.
In the second set, Saikiran did not lose his supremacy at any stage in the starting part as he played with confidence and precision on court.
The powerful smashes and impressive net shots kept Saikiran ahead of his confused opponent all the way until the one-minute break.
After the break, the lofty Saikiran continued his power play and easily clinched the set by a stunning score of 21-7.
Saikiran emerged as the winner in this lopsided battle with a striking 21-9 and 21-7 score on the board.
