All India Sub Junior Ranking: Udayakumar Syamprasad demolishes Natarajan Vivek in qualifying round
India’s young and talented shuttler Udayakumar Syamprasad showed aggression on court and overpowered his country-mate Natarajan Vivek in Boy’s Singles U13 contest in qualifying round of All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament in India, on Monday,
October 22.
The in-form Syamprasad was in tremendous form as he put up a good show on court and stamped his mark over Vivek by finishing up this fight in a dominating manner after consuming just 20 minutes on court.
Syamprasad was in staggering form in the first game but he had to employ all of his reserves in the following set and remained successful in winning the battle with a narrow margin on score board.
In the meanwhile, the spirited Vivek could not find a good flow in the starting set of the contest. However, he put up strong resistance in the following game but remained unlucky in the ending points and lost the battle with a decent margin.
In the starting game, Syamprasad performed remarkably well from the opening points by playing with amazing speed and grabbed the control of rallies.
The tremendous skills and remarkable strategy assisted Syamprasad to put his challenger in all sorts of trouble on court.
Syamprasad remained in dominating position all the way and took a stunning lead until the end of starting half.
In the concluding part, Vivek tried his best but could not focus on court and remained struggling all the way.
However, Syamprasad was very calm and composed in the arena as he did not play negative badminton and wrapped up the opening game with a one-sided margin of 21-9.
In the following set, Vivek also showed a great performance by playing at his best speed and did not let his rival to set up a huge lead at the early stage.
Until the one-minute break, both shuttlers were in the same situation as they stayed close on score board.
The score progressed in the similar fashion and they reached at 21-21 when Syamprasad showed his class and grabbed ending points to win the game with a close margin of 23-21.
Syamprasad won this entertaining fight in the qualifying round with a reasonable 21-9 and 23-21 score on the board.
