What is the main difference as far as weight and geometry between a freeride bike and a DJ bike. I have a nice durable XC bike, but this summer I want to start doing more serious drops/jumps etc. I don't know what bike to get. My price range is about 400-600. I am thinking between the Jamis Komodo 1.0, or the Mongoose Dirt Ritual. What is the main difference between these bikes? Some people have told me the Komodo is all mountain so it will replace my Kona Kikapu (FS XC). I want to keep my full suspension, I just want something more durable, and meant for "gravity". Opinions please....?
