All On Red to make the most of her experience in the Albany Stakes at the Ascot
The Group 3 Albany Stakes (Fillies) has attracted a line-up of nineteen two-year-old fillies among whom the majority has recently cleared their maidens. The race will be held at Ascot over six furlongs on Friday, 22nd June. The prize money for the winner is set at £34,026.
Sandreamer, Oasis Dream’s two-year-old bay filly out of mare, Alsharq, is one of the candidates who has proved herself worthy of entry in the contest today by clearing her maiden lately.
She won the Chemtest/British Stallion Studs E B F Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 18th May at Newmarket over six furlongs. Riding with Matthew Davies, she led the runner up of the race, Sharaarah, by a length.
Filling up the third slot was Testamatta while the 4/1 favourite of the race, New Falcon, ended fifth on the track of ten.
Today is her second career chance and that too in a group 3. Not a lot of runners get the chance of racing a graded race right after the maiden. The venue and the jockey for the race today are different while the distance remains to be the same.
Besides the flooding entering of the new to racing, an interesting candidate is All On Red, Red Clubs’ two-year-old bay filly out of mare, Champion Tipster. Despite being the same age and the fact that it is her debut season, the bay filly has more experience than the majority.
Out of the four outings that she has undertaken, two were wins, a second score and a third position.
Just as the most of the line-up, she did not take more than a chance to clear her maiden. She got done with the endeavour on 26th April at Brighton over five and a half furlongs.
She settled as the runner up in the conditions stakes that followed on 6th May at Salisbury over five furlongs. Winning the race and leading by three lengths was Judy In Disguise.
Swinging back into form in no time, the two-year-old won the Padon Contracts Novice Stake on 18th May at Newcastle over six furlongs. The 4/7 favourite of the race led the field of three by nine lengths.
Her most recent try was a third position but the extra experience today will surge her chances for bagging the race.
