All Sensation and Airforce Spirit, two big threats to Baran Bally Hi in Sittingbourne Hurdle
Baran Bally Hi has been given the best odds of 6 to 4 for Sunday’s Sittingbourne Hurdle. The English and Irish Grand National hero is more than capable of stealing the show here. He is enjoying a wide draw, which will surely help him avoid any inside crowding.
Despite the fact that there is plenty going for him, his fans cannot afford to take things lightly. All Sensation and Airforce Spirit are the ones, D. Knight’s charge needs to stay cautious of. The latter of the two is a bigger threat as per our calculations.
J. Foster’s trainee is in tremendous form at the moment. After taking a classy win at Belle Vue, the black dog went to Wimbledon, where his winning journey came to a halt. On November 22nd, he suffered a massive defeat at the hands of Farloe Bowser.
Not losing determination, the 3-year-old quickly got his act together, and grabbed an excellent win at the start of this month. After doing the goods at Wimbledon, the son of Killahan Phanter, out of All Claddagh, did some damage at Hove, where he took a handy 3½-length triumph after making a fine solo outing.
On his previous outing, the dashing hound was mighty impressive. Despite baulking early in the race, he did not lose his pace, and established supremacy in the initial stages. He never looked back afterwards, bagging the top prize with ease.
Airforce Spirit should make his presence felt, considering the form he is currently in. In his Boxing Day appearance here, R. Holloway’s trainee seized the first rank comfortably by 1¾ lengths. The draw is a massive plus for him today.
Both, All Sensation and Airforce Spirit, are likely to make things tricky for Baran Bally Hi. But the former, in particular, makes very good appeal, and we expect him to tackle the favourite.
Out of others, no one has a big role to play. Mullpark Too reached the Grand National finale over C&D, but his current form is a concern. Clonkeen Theo may find things happening too quickly. Similarly, Soviet Military is not a prolific winner. Good luck to all the contestants.
