Question:

All-Star race rigged?

I don't know if that's the exact way to word it but I remember last night someone was answering a question and said they were at the race. They said that you can't control engine failures and things like that, but in the stands it was obvious that Kasey Kahne was gonna be the winner from the beginning or something along the lines. Can anyone elaborate? And/or what's your opinion.

  1. It's impossible to rig. I think the only thing that went on that we don't know about is Kasey knowing he won the fan vote and sandbagging in the Showdown.

  2. Whoa there.

Nascar is not rigged, and Kasey deserved to win, he drove a conservative race, waited and made his move.

He came from the back, and did not try run like an idiot like Kyle usually does, he was smart and it got him a million bucks.

rigged, I don't think so.....and it never has been

blown engines, wrecks, okay, so Nascar tosses some nails on the track to cause blow outs, and they go put sugar in the tanks to blow an engine.....wake up, it is not rigged, these happen and that is called racing, and nothing else.

  3. i don't buy that anyone knew it was obvious that kasey would win.  he drove hard and drove smart, from as far back as one could start to as far forward as one could finish.  and the final pit call helped seal the deal.  as kyle said after edwards engine failed at atlanta, "he may have had the fastest car out there, but it has to finish the race."

i think kyle had the fastest car by far, but didn't finish the race, and neither did denny.  that stewart came all the way from the back, had different pit strategy than kahne, and still finished fifth bodes poorly for the rest of the teams.  if jgr and toyota manage to get those new engines to survive a full cup race, the rest of the season could end up being a battle amongst the jgr gang.

but it was good to see not only kasey do well, but kudos to sam hornish jr. (and dodge) as well.

  4. Kasey won fair and square. great call by Kenny Francis.

  5. its plain and simple they said that because he had the best car the whole night he started 22nd and by the end of the first segment he was up to 12th by the end of 2nd segment up to  6th and so on i think he make the right decision going with no tires to

    p.s go kasey

  6. No, it isn't rigged. The only thing that would make me even consider any race is rigged is when Kyle Busch is able to drive as fast as he does. I think JGR is doing something to the engine and it is somehow being overlooked or ignored by nascar.  Why is it that since Kyle blew out his engine that his fan's are now thinking it was rigged?  Kasey did win by fan votes and then I think he raced hard in appreciation for those fan's. I wanted Jr. to win and he ran an awesome race, but his pit crew really needs some work, or he needs a new one. They pushed him back from 2nd to what 12th? That pit was crucial. Dale had a great chance of catching Edwards, but his pit crew was just too slow.

  7. c**p! Who ever said that was just pissy the Kahne won!!!! Yeaaaaaa Go #9!!!!!!!!! Baby!!!!

  8. I think its total bull.  Kahne won because he gambled in the pits and had a DECENT car.  Biffle had a better car, but couldn't make the pass.  The JGR cars could have won, but had engine issues.  There were no wrecks so no one had a chance to catch up.

  9. Dude Fluffy is so right if you think its rigged then you are just pissed off that none of your drivers won the race

  10. I can elaborate on a clinical/psychological level. Anyone who thinks NASCAR is rigged, has a paranoid personality., and probably has a difficult time making everyday decisions.

  11. WHAT?!?!?

    You are crazy!

Kahne took 0 tires and ran hard on the high line and won fair and square.

If Nascar was rigged.....Dale would have won!

  12. Rigged for Kahne? Sorry, but that just made me laugh.

That man worked his @$$ off to get to the front, like he's tried to do every race. Believe me, he was determined to get up there, to thank his fans for getting him in the race.
