Ok here's the Q: A puppy weighed 4.5 lbs at 5 weeks and 7.5lbs at 8 weeks. What was the percent of increase? My answer: 3.8% I know it's totally wrong and that's why I need y'alls help. What do I do? Thanks!

  1. The percent of increase is the increase in weight divided by the original weight times 100:

    % = [(new - old) / old] * 100

    % = [(7.5 - 4.5) / 4.5] * 100

    % = (3 / 4.5) * 100

    % = 0.666... * 100

    % = 66.66...%
